    Founder Reg Neelands establishes Neelands Refrigeration Limited.

  • 1959

    Neelands Refrigeration Limited receives Hill Refrigeration service and satisfaction award.

  • 1969

    Neelands installs the first multi-parallel compressor system, setting the stage for increased energy efficiency and redundancy.

  • 1986

    Neelands becomes a Hussmann equipment dealer.

  • 1986

    1986 Neelands designs, supplies and installs the first turnkey supermarket – Longo's Fairview Street, Burlington.

  • 1990

    Neelands becomes the Tyler dealer exclusively in Ontario, and becomes a dealer for Computer Process Controls (CPC).

  • 1990

    Neelands relocates from Enfield Street location to modern and current location on Northside Road.

  • 1991

    Neelands becomes the Ontario and East distributor for Barker display cases, providing a wide range of services, and self-serve and specialty cases for the supermarket industry.

    Neelands becomes a Micro Thermo dealer.

    Neelands Refrigeration Limited receives 100% sales quota award from Tyler Refrigeration.

    Neelands installs the first medium temp secondary system utilizing food-safe glycol for Loblaws in Mississauga.

    Together with Microthero, Neelands launches and installs a full PC refrigeration controller.

  • 1999

    Neelands Refrigeration Limited receives 'Pinnacle Club' award from Tyler Refrigeration.

  • 2005

    Neelands Refrigeration Limited Receives 'HRAI membership award in recognition of 30 years of commitment and support for HRAI and Canadian HVACR Industry'.

  • 2006

    Neelands installs the first C02 low-temperature refrigeration system for Loblaws in Scarborough.

  • 2008

    Neelands completes new Loblaws distribution facility in Ajax with over 1 million square feet of refrigerated and dry space.

  • 2008

    Neelands celebrates 50 years in business.

  • 2008

    Neelands installs the first C02 low-temperature refrigeration system for WalMart in Burlington.

  • 2009

    Neelands becomes the Ontario dealer for Hill Phoenix following its purchase of Tyler Refrigeration.

  • 2010

    Building plans released for new head office building.

  • 2011

    Head office estimated completion: March 2012.

  • 2011

    Current employees: 110.

  • 2012

    Neelands relocates from Northside Road location to a brand new state-of-the-art facility on Palladium Way.
